The “ZOOMING-UP” program at the Children’s Community School in Waterbury, Connecticut, provides after-school experiences for disadvantaged children that prepare them to interact with the world around them. The Mazda Foundation partners with the Children’s Community School to provide an after-school adventure and nurturing place for students through the ZOOMING-UP program. The program introduces young children to a number of exciting life possibilities through field trips and visits to college campuses, participation in extra-curricular clubs such as chess and robotics, and enrichment programs involving hands-on, interactive science projects. These “real” people and places will sit in the mind’s eye of the children and will keep them focused on making good decisions as they grow older. The Mazda Foundation is proud to support the community and staff of the Children’s Community School who work to build a better world for our children.
