Imagining a better world... and reaching out to make it happen.

About Us

Through the Mazda Foundation, Mazda and its employees are working together to proactively help our neighbors - and the communities where we live and work - to build a better, brighter future. With contributions exceeding $5 million since its founding in 1992, the Mazda Foundation is playing a meaningful role in helping thousands of Americans realize their aspirations and dreams. It’s also important to note that programs the Mazda Foundation supports range from children’s organizations and educational scholarships to food banks, environmental programs and crucial disaster relief efforts.

In 2005, and in the wake of Hurricane Katrina - one of the most devasting natural disasters in U.S. history - the Mazda Foundation took immediate steps to help those areas hardest hit through a timely grant to the American Red Cross. Katrina’s widespread destruction also had a direct impact on the Mazda Foundation’s ongoing partnership with Dillard University, whose campus is in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana. Moreover, in 2007 the Mazda Foundation granted funding to the STAIR program which helps second-grade students in the New Orleans Community who are at risk of academic failure by helping with reading and language skills.

The Mazda Foundation extends the corporate giving mission of Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). MNAO is responsible for the sales and marketing, customer parts and service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNAO has more than 700 dealerships nationwide and is owned by Mazda Motor Corporation, Hiroshima, Japan
